Looking for Structural Enginner

I am looking for a licensed/certified STRUCTURAL ENGINEER. I know that several people here have used them to determine if their floors can support the installation of larger tanks...

I just purchased a house in FRANKLIN PARK and there is a partial wall that I would like to remove. It is a wall between the kitchen & Family room - Would like to basically double the size of the doorway because the stairs leading to the basement are also located right there creating a bottle-neck. This wall used to be the exterior wall of the house (family room/back half of the house was an addition) and my Home Inspector stated that the ceiling would more than likely need to be re-supported.

So... Looking for any recommendations on companies/people that other members have used so that I can get an estimate on how large of a job this would be.

Please PM me if you know of anyone...

Thanks,
Dan

at what size does this start to become a problem. I live in a shitty old place and am thinking of setting up a bigger tank. (bigger for me is 55 gallon don't laugh)

That depends. If your tank sits along a wall, with the floor joists running perpendicular to that wall, you'll be fine.
