Losing battle with zoa eating nudibranch. Getting desperate.

I been battling zoa eating nudibranch in my nano tank for almost 6 months now. Lost so many zoas to them. Money down the drain. I have tried dosing tank with flatworm exit but they seem to be immune to it. All it did was kill off all the brittle starfish in my tank. The zoas are attached to a big rock with SPS and LPS so it's hard for me to dip the entire rock. I got a sixline recently from SkullV and love the fish but it's a dud when it comes to eating nudibranch. What else can I do?? I am so desperate that I am considering selling the sixline and finding a yellow coris.

I do not want to loose these zoas...

I would get either a coris wrasse or a radiant or a melanarus.. They are deff nudibranch eaters from what i heard from other fellow reefers

My nano tank is only 12 gallons =(. I always thought I need a 30+ gallon for a melanarus, but I guess that's true for a yellow coris too.

You can manually get rid of them. First thing you need to do is remove the adults. At night look with blues on. You should be able to spot them. Take an hr each night and remove what you can with tweezers. Remember they turn the color of what they are eating so really search each polyp. Close the polyps if you have too. During the day close each colony and search for egg sacks. Typically the sack will be on the polyp or very close to the colony. Once hatched they need to eat right away. Spend at least an hr a day removing eggs. The eggs will look like a white bumpy spiral. Do this until you dont find any sign of them for a week.

I have been doing that, and everytime I think I got them all, they come back. For sure I thought I got them 2 weeks ago and yesterday I found 20+ babies crawling everywhere. Adults are easy to tweezer out but babies are a pain. I try to suck out as much as possible with turkey baster.

That sucks. I would say keep at it everyday even after you get a wrasse. The yellow might not hunt them down. You can also dip whatever rocks you can get out. Fresh water dip kills them very fast. Just make sure to inspect for eggs. No point dipping if you dont remove all eggs while doing it

I did hear flatworm exit works on nudi branches also. Read up on it.

I am going to use it on my system today for flatworms ( still tensed )

But if you want I can lend you the bottle, you can use it and return it to me for my second dose. I can also lend you my small canister filter to run carbon.

We live about 10 mins away :) let me know

I have dosed FWE many times already =(. I used up the entire bottle. Springer's Damsel not working out for you?

So flatworm exit didn't work for you on both nudis and flatworms ??

Kinda desperate measure as I'm upgrading to a little bigger system :)
Your damsel beat the crap out of mine haha and both are just cruising around chasing each other.

lol. FWE helped with the flatworms but they came back. Since you are upgrading tanks, keep only one of the damsels =P

I would pull all of the rock and dip with coralRx. Then dip again 7 days later. Repeat until gone. All of your rock will most likely fit in a 5 gallon bucket. Also look for egg sacks and remove them.

If you choose to dip I would recommend iodide or ro dip. In my experience dips like coral RX are to harsh on zoas. I oluse coral RX religiously just not on Zoas.

I can't dip SPS in RODI right? I can take out my rocks and dip them but I have so much other corals on them. What if I dip everything in Revive?

Oops hit thanks on accident. Anyways, I would use iodide before revive. I think iodide is safe for sps as well. Someone that knows for sure might want to chime in.
