Do you have corals in the tank?
Although this is not the best way of treating for ick, it worked for me when my clown fish got ick. I fed heavily with garlic and raised the tank temp to 81 degrees. I believe this irritates the ick in some way and will definitely help rid your tank of ick after the fallow period.
I didnt QT. I didn't know what to do as this was my first saltwater tank 4 years ago. I got my advice from a LFS and it did help for the time being. Needless to say the fish have passed but not from ick. The tank was a 14 g biocube fowlr With just 2 clowns. No I didn't mean to say that garlic was a treatmentYou fed with garlic after moving fish to QT? Otherwise, how did you go fallow? So just garlic in the QT and no other treatment (note: I don't consider garlic a treatment, just an appetite inducer).

Raising the temperature promotes the ich to reproduce quicker. So it is a good thing to do in QT for it to go through its life cycler faster.
