This is a brightly colored picture on my side but it turns dark on the post. Josh do you know why? I tried JPG and PNG non interlaced formats.

Well different sites decrease the picture quality depending on how they shrink it

Only two sites I know off and use that don't damage quality are flickr and photobucket may be try them

When you directly upload to the forum image quality decreases hence making it look darker ( worse if you directly upload from your phone )

Tin is completely right. It's in the reduction in size for formatting into the CR site. Flickr and photobucket photos are not hosted on the CR server, instead it's a on demand redirect for the photo to their servers. They can store the full size image to be displayed without using up the CR server resources.

I get around it with CR images by cropping and resizing if needed prior to uploading and image. I do this as I prefer to have my images hosted here vs someone else's control.

Had to use the hi fin goby since my copperband doesn't like to come to the front glass
