what do i do? the little mushroom smitty gave me has one coming off the top of it. do i just let it go till it flots off some where? thanks
 
I would take the entire piece and put it into a small clean tupperware with no top, inside put another small rock. When it detaches remove the original piece and let the mushroom move around until it attaches itself to the small rock. The tupperware prevents direct flow from blowin it away and just having one rock in there ensures it will attach and be strong enough to move into the main display flow. Read about this method on some forum, cant remember exactly where

do i put the tupper where in the tank or just put it somewhere and not worry about the lighting
 
tupperware in tank (on sand and not getting blasted) and put rock with both shrooms on it in there, then add another small rock for the baby shroom to attach to when he comes off. As soon as he detaches, remove the mama shroom and rock and let him find his way to the small one. When he is attached for a few days move him where you want in your tank
 
i couldn't fit any on the sant that were tall enough to keep it from washing out so i took a small one and put it over top on the sand. i hope it works. i will update.
