hey guys, i am going to keep track of my progress here.. :)

this is my set up:

150 gal 5x2x2
APEX controller + reefkeeper lite
tunze pump, 2 koralia 4 and a tunze wavebox
calcium reactor which is not fully set up yet :( need to find out how to do it :)
apollo reef led ( will upgrade to prestige neptune led very soon )
40 gal sump with reef octopus skimmer, 20 mangroves, sand and rubble.

i am trying to stock it up with mostly LPS.... very few sps.

well here are some pics i took of the tank, with my phone, there is nothing special about it now. but once i get more coral, i will take better shots :) maybe even tonight :)

my last addition of the tank is this gorgeous australian tusk... so far he's been great.. no fish have been eaten out of my tank :)

i know he is not reef safe... but i will try to make my reef great without the snails and crabs.. i hope.. i will be looking for sand sifting stars and fish, maybe that might help me a little :)

Great looking tuskfish! I wouldn't worry about it eating your fish, but they will eat shrimp. :(

The only reason I don't have some.

i like the apollo... but i want something a little better.. the neptunes can do sunrise/sunset and have green and red led.. built in timer and a few other stuff... :) and i like spending money, haha so it makes sense to me to change.. :)

oh with by the way these led will be for sale. :) 235$ each but need to get the PRESTIGE-LED neptunes first :)

oh guys... in the third picture you can see my 799$ hybrid... its a blue jaw/ yellow tang. :) i can sell it for 200$ hahaha... that fish eats as much as two :)

Very nice i like your stock your new light choice is very nice as well :-) global has sand sifters 2 for 15 if your still looking has a bunch of them

thanks... i am probably gonna pick something up... :) so far, i still have lots of snails and crabs left.. :) but need to be prepared. i will post a video soon. i just can't wait to have it full.

Nice looking tank,You will love these new units, they are completely awesome if i do say so myself.

I have an aussie tusk in my FO (see avatar) and I tried snails and hermits. The hermits didn't last long but the snails all appear to be safe. It certainly wouldn't hurt to try a couple and see how yours does. I have Astrea Turbos and a bunch of very small Florida Ceriths. He could easily fit an entire Cerith in his mouth if he wanted to. My assumption is that I keep him fed well enough so he doesn't feel the need to work too hard for his food....

WHOOO i just had my Presitge-LED NEPTUNES dropped by at my house last night... very nice... like that i can create the look i want with the white and blue.. we did a par test over the apollo.. has way more par.. at the moment i have them on 60% white... cause i don't want to shock my corals.. :)

will have to post video and par pictures in a little... :)

i say if you are on the market for LED.... make sure you contact prestige... or come by my house to see them. you will like them :)

apollos are for sale! 2 units... used less than 1 year.

I personally want to see the tusk under blues only i know they make my sunburst antjias look like they deaerve the name sunburst lol

i will take the picture tonight of the tusk with blue led... only problem is the camera.. i still don't know how to work it..:) to make sure it shows correct colors :(
