hello everyone I am new to the salt water hobby I've done it in the past successfully but never tried corals just fish so I've been wanting for a while now to start a fish and coral tank I am open to your comments and advice I started the tank on Friday filled her up with Ro di water 20 pounds of live sand and 11 pounds of dry rock and 5 pounds of live rock I treated the system with aqua plus and cycle by Nutrafin and I am currently treating it with Kent nano reef part A and B my current temperature is 85 Fahrenheit there are two hermit crabs since day one and then I added two young clowns crabs and fish are doing great so far very active no bad signs I will keep you guys posted on the progress thank you

Rico, I would slooooooow down. 6 days in you shouldn't have fish yet let alone be asking for corals. You also don't need to be using Kent A/B at all yet as you have nothing in the tank to take up the calcium and alkalinity. Are you testing those levels? I would recommend testing for ammonia/nitrite/nitrate every few days until your cycle is complete and re-home the fish for the time being.

85° is also too hot for the tank. With the HQI you are going to need to run a chiller on that tank to keep the temp between 75-80 normally. Good luck!
