My 30 Gallon Cube with sump and ATO

Hi everyone,

I've only posted a bit on here before, but am on the site just about everyday checking things out. This past weekend I finally had a chance to take a bit of time to do some work on my tank other than feeding or cleaning, and wanted to show what I have come up with so far for an improved "control center" in my stand. Currently I'm using a 15 gallon tall column tank as a sump without any baffles. I have two drains (tank is drilled) which come down to an empty into individual filter socks in the tank, in which I have some live rock and macro algae, two heaters (one for backup) and a small hang on skimmer (which actually works pretty good!). So all that was going good, but all I had for a sump/refugium light was the old lamp from the 15 gallon column tank sitting on its side, and all of the cords were routed into a box next to the tank where everything was plugged in. It was working OK, but not enough room for what I wanted to do with switches for my components, and also didn't leave room for a hidden tank for top off water (just got a new ATO!)

So here's about where I was at before starting the clean up and changes. I'll post what I've done to update things later tonight once I get my ATO all set up - hope you enjoy checking out my tank:
