My 300g Build

I recently purchased a 300g from a local reefer. The tank is basically plug and play. I plan to move over all coral from my 90, and then start looking for a few nice SPS pieces. This tank will be a mixed tank with the majority of corals being SPS.

The tank is 96"x24"x30", with black canopy, and stand. The tank empties into a 50 gallon sump with two compartments for bioballs/rock, or really whatever you want. I choose to fill these areas with the ceramic bio-balls. From there the water flows into another 50g sump with the first section setup up as a refugium. The second section of the second sump is where the skimmer sits. The skimmer is ASM G9. From there the water flows into the third section where the return pump sits(MAG24). I will be running dual BRS dosers for calcium and alk. Might get another for magnesium.

I am currently shopping around for new lighting to reduce power cords. For right now I have a cc120p, 2 photon 16, and an ebay special lighting the tank.

For Flow I am using 2 wp 40's and I am waiting for 2 wp60 to arrive. The tank came with 2 powerheads that push a decent amount of water. They are in there now but will be replaced.

I am going to move my apex over as soon as I can get the 90 moved over. I am going to start that process tomorrow, and hopefully be done with everything by Sunday.

I have included a pic of the tank. The rock work will be changed but for now it is fine. I just needed to get the rock in the tank and wet. There is about 400 pounds of rock and 400 pound of sand.

It was a lot of work getting it in. I'm glad my brother and his friends were willing to do it. With my injury I couldn't help.
 
All sps have been moved. PE is fantastic all frags/colonies look great. Now comes the hard part. I am fragging my zoas 3-4,p of each type to grow. I will not frag out of this tank. These zoas are only for show. I setup a 125 to house my frags. I will make 2-3p frags of everything left. Seeing that I have a few thousand polyps its going to take some time.
 
Boshido, I think I got his name right, is moving to Cali. He needed to sell and two days before I got approval from the wife to buy a big one. Worked out nice. One catch though I have to pay for it with the hobby. Really hoping to do well at both frag swaps.
