My 350 gallon grow out

Coral Savers

Hello everyone my name is shane aka Coral Savers. I have been reef keeping for 5 years and have worked in the industry for 2. I recently decided to frag up my large mother colonies and add a bunch of new stuff to my collection. I want to serve the midwest with with name brand frags for a great price.

So lets get on to the system. The main tank is 300 gallons with a 50 gallon sump. The return pump flows 1500 gallons per hour, for added circulation power have 3 jebo 60's and 2 jebo 40's set on reef crest mode. I have the new reef octopus regal, i have to say its amazing and recomend them to anyone. In the sump i have 100 pounds of live rock plus maybe another 100 that corals are attached to. I run carbon and gfo in a homemade reactor, that i change every couple months. I do weekly water changes between 25 and 50 gallons depending on how the system looks.
To light the system i use metal halides, you cannot beat the growth rate of these. I have 3 400 watt radium single ended bulbs with reflectors. I have a wide assortment of corals my favorites are mariculture acros and my Z's and P's. Buy hey i love them all how can you not they are some of the most beutiful organisms on earth!!

I will post some pictures tomorow of my system, until then.

Can't wait to see some fts, it is ftt (full tank Thur) so post a few:D. Sounds like a great set up.

Finally got some time to spare, it's been a crazy fall. I'm gona take pictures of the system tomorrow and hopefully a picture of my new clown tang, don't want the tang police after me so let me say he was sustainably caught and has lots of swimming room:).

I take pictures using an underwater camera it works good, I tried to use a regular camera but most of my corals are to deep in the water column

Pictures will be taken and posted as soon as the lights turn on today. Can't wait to get some system shots it has been a long time coming

have yet to still run the power to the box for direct feed thats what the two wood posts are for. I have the lights running straight to the power box so its almost 100% built
