My first aquascape attempts , thoughts?

Guys a quick question once I settle on my aquascape design I plan on using marineland epoxy to secure the design. My concern is once I use the epoxy on the dry rock how permanent does it set? I am worried ,should I need to move things around in the future am I asking for trouble ,or can I separate a piece that has been secured with epoxy in the future?

Wooo, looks good. If you want to use epoxy, I'd suggest...don't make the whole thing a giant solid aquascape. Use it for peices that aren't as stable. maybe epoxy some peices together and puzzle piece it so if you need to restructure or take something out for some reason it's not impossible.
I just did my aquascape last week with epoxy. I wasted a stick because and learned that if you keep the rock dry and put a little superglue at the contact points it will make a good solid joint that holds. Otherwise, without superglue and wet with saltwater... it fell apart on me. Hope this helps, good luck!

Mike is right on. Epoxy alone works fine in dome circumstances (and you don't need to buy special aquarium brands, just regular old plumbers epoxy works) but putting some super glue on the contact points makes a much better bond, especially if your doing it under water.

Also, you can break the epoxy pretty easily if you need to.

One thing about your scale (that I'm learning the hard way) is that you want to make sure it isn't too vertical. If it's too vertical, corals near the top will shade corals on the bottom. Make sure it slopes up.

I have some Marco rock mortar if you want to try that. I love the tank, and great job on the scape

Looks good, I would get rid of the vinyl from tank. Plastic, vinyl breaks down in saltwater. Instead use acrylic pieces you can get at HD or Lowes.
