Hey guys,
Being that I've been on here non-stop for the past two months, I felt like I should contribute more to the community and actually post something. So here is my "Reef" tank! Yes, there are quotations around "reef" because there is only 3 corals and very little live rock. Its not much at all compared to all of the other tanks I'm seeing on here but its my own little piece of paradise =) The livestock is 2 occellaris clownfish and a peppermint shrimp. In the front you will notice GSP and 3 red hornet polyps (generously given from a fellow reefer since I can't afford it haha) and a duncan coral, which has a cage around it as the clowns were irritating it trying to host it. I know for sure it ain't pretty but its mine and I'm proud of it =) Thanks for all your help guys!View attachment 10887

Well I think it looks awesome ! Nobody's tank went to excellent overnight so keep your head up and one day with patience you will have what you want. Any specs on tank? What size ? Lighting ect...? I live in melrose park , you are welcome to stop by , I have a couple of small pieces of rock I can give you and some some beginner coral if you want. Shoot me a pm if interested.

Its a great start. You are the only one that has to approve of it. Its yours and love what you have. before you know it you will have a 400 gallon tank in the bathroom and bigger everywhere else

=) Thanks! Its a 10 gallon but I also have a drained 30 gallon. I'm setting up the ten gallon because I am moving out of my dorm in a few months anyways so I didn't want to have to break down the 30 gallon haha. Its running an Odyssea 24" 4 X 24W T5 which was intended for the 30 gallon but is doing great for the 10 gallon right now. And thank you so much for offering up the beginner corals! I might have to take you up on that when I'm back in Chicago (in Kenosha for school =/). Thanks again Steve!
