Need good local source of pods

I would like to raise pods in a 10g I have with mud, chaeto. I do t think tiger pods are good strains, too fragile. I would like to buy local, as shipping is insane. Have plenty of chaeto and rubble.

I live in Orland Park. Can you please help me find a good source?
 
Ask a fellow reefer for a ball of chaeto from their sump, provided they have an established tank. I feel bad every time I trim back the chaeto because I know I'm killing tons of the little guys!

I already threw out my latest clippings, otherwise I'd offer. Someone certainly has some that can help you seed though.
 
Ebay had some pods shipped for around 50. Also reefs 2 go offers pod packages

nano-reef.com search the livestock forum for pods, I'd have to look for name but there's a marine biology student on there that has the best pods/phytoplankton I've ever bought. the pods he sends are actually visible as most others all you see is dust in bag/bottle. I've ordered from him a few times, always a happy camper. and the phyto is awesome concentrate!
 
I'm very new to this, but I was wandering through exotic aquatics in Schaumburg a few months ago and I believe they had different types on beer taps. Not quite sure how that works or if they still used them. Was only there once.

Angel on Ebay has some nice pods and will give you 2 for 1 directly thru paypal , p.m. if you want his # i believe he ships out of Colorado ..Good dude to deal with

You guys are resurrecting a thread from 2013. Hsolano hasn't logged on in almost two years. But if anyone is interested, AP does have pods.

they've upgraded Statesville and getting WIFI implemented will be turned on April 1 info will be avail & ready for him ....Ha
