My 55g reef tank has 2 clowns and a damsel in it currently. I used to have a cleaner shrimp, but he disappeared in the last couple months. I spent a few hours yesterday removing all the rocks and corals from the tank and cleaning out everything that has settled where I couldn't reach it.

I am trying to figure out a new fish that I can add that will not mess with my coral and won't get destroyed by my evil clown fish. I have mushrooms that the clowns love. Whenever I clean the glass and get close to the mushrooms, they bite the crap out of my knuckles. I was bleeding yesterday after cleaning the tank because of those little b*stards.

The tank is a 55g with no substrate. What are your suggestions on a new fish?

Thanks!

so many choices !!! no matter what u add theres always a chance the damsels will mess with it . that being said how about a wrasse of some kind . they always swim so will be extra movement and a splash of color since most are colorful.

He has no sand though, so no where for the wrasse to sleep/hide. Maybe you can go with a small angel? He might nip at your mushrooms, but its always hit or miss

sand not needed for all wrasses , but just a suggestion
good luck on your search and keep us posted on what ya get !!.

Right! Flasher wrasse & Fairy don't need sand i believe so those could be a good choice. Either way let us know what you choose

Six line would hold its own vs the clowns and damsel and no risk nipping at coral...
