Need the whitest sand, kinda need it today or tomorrow

Hey guys. Tank came in (Reefer 250), so far so good. Going to leak test it tonight hopefully. Wanted to get the rock and sand in by tonight, at the latest tomorrow.

I've used caribsea aragonite before. Was wondering if there was anything that was well more white.

Took a vacay to Destin (FL) last year and I swear the white sand there has ruined me. Want a similar look for the tank.


Don't care if it isn't "live"

Need about 40lbs

Any place local I could go to grab whatever it is that you guys might suggest?
 
reefflakes is as white as they get :)

sugestion :) get the larger particle one so you dont have to worry about the sand storms again and again
 
Last time i used dry sand i ended up buying a whole new tank to get rid of my issues lol. Never seen reef flakes but i used carrib sea live sand seems white as hell to me

It does. But in the bag it will look yellow. Once the lights hit it, it looks white as hell for sure
 
I was on the fence too, tan sand just doesn't do it for me anymore. Didn't really consider the lights to have that much of an effect(been a while since my last reef). Think I'll just go with the live Fiji pink unless someone comes up with an idea.

Im not a fan of the fiji pink little finer then the other one blows around more imo i did have to buy few bags of the pink they ran out of normal stuff it didn't matter to much cause i was able to mix it but the normal kind of live sand in that brand is whiter then the pink
 
So did a little research. Ended up going with 15lb of aragamax select and then 20lb of Fiji pink live. Now since I'm an idiot I didn't take the "clarifying" packets out of the sand. I found one in the tank, tried googling how many packets they come with and now can't find anything. Just don't want one to be lost/buried in the tank.

One each bag . I have one buried in my tank some where lol it will pop up eventually
