No mess bucket free water change system

Ok so I'm tired of spilling water everywhere when I do my water changes so I thought of a way to incorporate a mixing vat and holding vat toghether to create this easy DIY water change system. I haven't bought all the parts yet but here is a blue print. Let me know what you guys think if you see any problems with it or something like that.

This is what I have in my basement. With the switch of 2 valves, the SW goes from mixing in the bucket, to up into my fish room, on the 1st floor.

Kinda the same concept I think except I want to have a holding vat for clean ro water and one for saltwater.
 
What size bulkheads are you using just curious of how big I can go with out worrying about leaking on the trash cans
 
Hubby put the thing together for me (he's a pipefitter) in addition to plumbing my entire tank/sump/fuge. I'd have to ask him but my guess is 1-1 1/2"?
 
I've seen this one on a thread too! Very impressive. Think he has it on a switch or timer so all he has to do is press a button. I will use this setup in the future, when I upgrade!
