Non-Reefers, first reaction?

When Non-Reefers first see your tank, what is the first reaction?

I mostly get people in shock that something can be so be beautiful and normally it's the first time they have seen a reef aquarium. It's great for the kids because they just stare at the tank looking for everything they can find.

It's funny when someone ask if it's saltwater.

They call me a fish geek, but you know what?????? They can't get their eyes off the tank!! LOL

I get that one too, followed by; "Is that saltrwater or fresh?" LOL

Also, my older brother said he could drop a Zanax and stare at my torch coral swating in the waves for hours, LOL!!!

Lots of wows and many questions. My 2year old niece just went crazy when she first saw ours and that was when we had a 30g. We now have a 90 and she was in love.

It's come to really make me angry at people. Someone asked that to the guy that does the shark tank demos at the Shedd. Not a good day for me...

I love (not really) it when my dad is explaining how everything in my tank works to his friends, incorrectly. Ugh... Ignorance is pain, not bliss. When I can have someone give me the reaction of, "...", I'll be done tinkering.

We get a wide variety of reactions. I cannot wait until ours has more covered. Mostly, people think it is really cool.
