Normal for BTA?

one of my nems has been doing fine, then for the past week it's bubbled up, but like it's now only half the size... what gives? still eats fine, just smaller...

Could it be the spectrum shift on my MH bulbs? I know they were old and just swapped in new 14k pheniox today...
