Not enough light or bleaching?

Everything else looks pretty good. Superman Monti is middle way up in 24 high tank.

Near middle edge of tank though. Params are good. All other corals look ok. It is encrusting but can't tell.

I'd go with not enough light because the polyps should be red not brown. The body should be a pale or baby blue so I wouldn't worry about it being bleached if it looks light.

Most likely not enough light, but browning might also suggest high nutrients. I see some brown fuzz, that looks like algae , that usually is a sign of high nutrients.

Super man monti is one of the highest light taking montis ...

absolutely low light or high nutrients ..

can tell if you tell us what lights you are using, how high above the water level and where in tank the monti is located :)

The Monti is middle of the way up. Far side of tank. The light is a radion g3 pro. Doesn't hit it too too much. But a fair amount. Nutrients as in Phosphate? Probably . 03 it's encrusted already so I can't move it. Maybe I'll do a decent water change and try to get some more light on it. Or just break a piece off and start a new colony. Thanks.

I would break a piece off and get it started under higher light. I agree, that stuff can take a blasting. Good polyp extension it looks like.

nutrients as in nitrates also .. but yes to the side of the tank and under radions it seems like light issue ( unless your nitrates are over 10ppm )
