so I have trained my sun polyps to open all day, which is funny to me, training coral. well I don't know if I did it or they are just doing it but any who. so I have been doing a lot of reading on the nps corals but I find conflicting material as always seems to be the case in this hobby. I know that everyone says sun polyps need to be feed meaty foods in every cup. my question is are they also filter feeders. I mean this in the way zoas are, some people say they feed their zoas and some don't. are the polyps getting nutrients every time they have there tenicls out? I know in nature the grow on shelves and caves where currents flow bringing them food, but is it only meaty food they eat?
