Came home to find my lubbocks wrasse on the carpet! There is only 1 spot that could of happened!

The only thing I can think of is it was chased by a 3 stripe.
 
Wow that sucks Steve, sorry bro.

I have 1/4" mesh DIY screen top on mine and somehow my yasha goby managed to make it through.
 
Lol i used egg crate before and heard my flame jump and hit it opened canopy and dam thing was stuck in egg crate head on one side tail the other. Then i built my trap out if egg crate abd female flames same size as u lubocks swam right through opening so i took the 1/4 mesh and cover egg crate with it using fishing string to tie. Took while but worked

Oh no! Sorry about the wrasse, man! I just brought home a trio of bartletts, so I'm nervous, now...
 
I zip-tied mesh screen to my eggcrate when I made a trap so the fish couldn't swim through. It would work for your top as well I imagine. Sorry about the loss.
 
he may or may not have gone thru the eggcrate, but it looks like a small piece of crate, so it's possible he jumped into it and was able to force his way 'under it'

you might want to take an old koralia magnet, or something heavy to weigh it down and even cover that one hole.
