Old sand still good?

So I have 3 bags of carribsea agralive Fiji pink sand. The bags are dated as best used by 2013. At this point the sand just considered dead and would just need to cycle over again right?

It's just sand. The bacteria may be alive, but if not the bactria will grow again. Go ahead and use it.

I was actually looking to just sell it off cheap. I am going with black sand in the new tank setup. So I'll have about 60lbs of live sand from my tank, plus 60lbs still in bags. Just wasn't sure if it was worth selling or not since its been sitting.

You may not get much for it, but its worth a try.

Yeah, just sell it as just dry sand, it's still usable.

It's still worth something bc it's aragonite. "Best By" dates are questionable anyway; I think there could be a little good bacteria left.
