lol, I'm going to ask you if you think these are a good idea after you have been knocked off a dive boat ladder on a drift dive in heavy seas AFTER handing your fins to your buddy. I never "flail"
 
I swim with paddles. Tried neoprene gloves but it was like swimming with water-logged oven mitts on my hands. Love the paddles. Those look like might work though.

walt, I want to teach you to swim. I used to teach both infant and adult classes for years, and I really think someone as interested in the undersea world as you are needs to be able to not drown. Want to take a trek up to RL one day and learn? I promise I can teach you in one day if you trust me.

My mom would always say I was a terrible filipino because I can't swim and I don't eat fish. I now eat some fish but have yet to venture into the water. I almost drowned when I was a kid and I still don't trust my friends in the pool. I'm an expert at wading though.

They have a pool at Ralph Lauren?

Ralph does have a beautiful pool, but I was referring specifically to Round Lake.

Consider it an open offer. It is sometimes easier to learn from someone who you don't know all that well :)
