Those things are annoying, I had them at my old place and the conquered the side of the house
Mine had a black shell with a red pattern.

PITA, they get everywhere, leave a stain if you smash them, supposedly smell too if you smash them

I'm not sure if you can get rid of them. They aren't considered a pest but they are a PITA.

Soapy water in a spray bottle helps keep them off stuff, like your doors and around the windows.

no they are harmless, just annoying. soapy water in a weed sprayer.
