Over sized 90g stand build?

Hello, due to the lack of trust in my new stand im going to build a new oversized stand for my 90g reef. I bought the stand used a year ago. I was not to confident in the build quality of it even though all aquarium stands seem to be built the same boatd and staples......makes me nervous to think my tank will collapse due to a weak base. So i am going to build an oversized stand! heres my ideas and drawing of what i am thinking any suggestions welcome!

Since you are going oversize and might have a little extra space, design it for a really small freezer. I've seen 1 cu.ft freezers that would be super convenient to have to store the froze foods.

Thanks. Well I was thinking ahead, later i may add another light on top of the canopy, so it would be to support the weight so it is not the tank

The worst part of having it in front would be cleaning the screen front on the vent. That's just the return back to you HVAC, as long as it can still suck air you will be OK.

Man you could display a tank on this stand by the time you're done!

I love oversized stands. I think it adds to the overall display of the tank. I also love the added space underneath!

Ya I agree 100% peace of mind is priceless. I did a 2x6 top frame on my stand, which was totally unnecessary but that peace of mind make sleeping at night a whole lot easier!

I would.
Just in case water manages to get down there, it will better protect the wood from damage/swelling. You might even want to put a couple breather holes on the back side of the base to allow for better evaporation if water gets trapped under the base from a spill.
