Does anyone have a good link or helpful advice to painting the back of a tank...I tried searching but am not coming up with anything because the word "paint" is in alot of threads!

krylon fusion spray paint.

This sems to be the popular choice of paint. It's actually pretty simple. Just make sure you do a really good job of cleaning the glass before you paint it. Spray on several very thin coats and let dry in between.

you can use krylon fusion or the best thing to use would be rustoleum roll on paint.. make sure you put a couple coats on and you shouldnt have a problem.. i used 3 coats and its perfect use a roller because it is not as messy.

+1 on the tint.... if you wanna go with a less permanent route

I have used the reusable vinyl tint before on a glass 120 gal.
It was cool because if I ever wanted to see thru the back of the tank I could by using a flash light.

I used rustoleum or how ever you spell it flat black oil based spray paint tape off tank and sheild off the top of tank and two coats does the trick thats what i did i used krylon fusion for all my pvc tho sticks alot better

Acrylic paints. Can be found at any local hobby store for like $1 a bottle. Use a small roller with it.

Works great, can do a huge tank for like $5 and if u ever change color, it can peel off pretty easy.

Great idea, I'll go this route next time for sure!

Kinda scratches easily do if ur constantly moving stuff on the back side of the tank if go a dif route. But otherwise it's the best option out there.

Just painted my brother's new 90 this week with a short roller and rustoleum flat black. Takes 2 coats, looks perfect. I've probably done this on 4 different tanks and always gives great results and no problems.
