Partially Open Zoas Issue

Sometimes zoas are partially open because

1) Parasites/Critters - some you can't see some you can?

2) Algae

3) Extremely High Water Flow

4) Not Enough Water Flow? - Can this make them close??

5) Too Much Light - Is it true they close to avoid light if too much?

What else can you add to this list or elaborate on?

LOL...some opened MORE after vit c dosing & also healed, but maybe i should now reduce

the vit c a bit so they don't Get OverDosed

ill also dose a few drops a iodine everyday, but only a few drops...nothing besides those two supplements, except for a bit of azox for feeding

you could OD on iodide too.

yea true...maybe ill reduce to 1 drop a day or a few every few days.

I would stop iodine completely. 1 drop/50g/week is all. I bet that's the problem.
How much VC are you dosing?

in that case it might be too much iodine dosing. was doing much more than a 1 drop week.

just switched tanks from 30 to 65 gallons, will update if i still have the problem, im completely stopping iodine for the time being
going to reduce my vitamin c..need to revisit that chart

mostly everything is opened in the new tank! so far so good! have stopped iodine dosing & will soon start to regularly vit c dose.
