Petco........ :(

I just left petco in Oak Lawn. They are renovating there tanks. Just replacing the tanks and water.

After seeing no livestock I asked where it all went. The assistant manager showed me a 55 gallon bucket full of dieing carpet anenomes, long tenticle anenomes, hermits, a snowflske eel, several fish, snails and many other soft corals.

No light, a heater and a lil pump. It's been since Thursday. I attempted to take a pic, but he asked me not to. It was very sad. I asked for a discount on already dieing animals and he said "there's nothing he can do". I bought a few hermits. I'm calling coorperate after I finish this rant. I would love it if others would too. 8584537845

That's terrible... I would have taken a picture or some video and went viral on that. That's just inhumane.

The sad part about it is big groups like the ASPCA, PITA will do nothing because guess who contributes the most money to there cause. Plus the ASPCA has also said on the record that dogs and cats have feelings and fish dont.

It really sux to see things of this nature but I think you said it best (Corperate). This means as long as there making money they dont really care. Now me as a reef junkie wonder sometimes how they make money selling said fish. I guess its from people like us that buy them to save them from a most certain death in there tanks. Its sad and really a nice place to buy the odds and ends dry goods but thats about it.

thats where i rescued my emerald crab from last week. if i wasnt so worried about catching something, id go back for something else.

Last week I went in and pointed out 5fish that had very bad ich and on there last leg of life and told them that the week before there other fish had ich!! They said nothing we can do but thank you for pointing It out. How do you not see that its plain as day!!!

No kidding dept store just don't devote the time and dedication to fresh or marine life. That's why it's so important that we support out LFS.

It's always the dilemma; do you buy them to save them and then Petco gets more? Or do you leave them there and hope that the SW demand dries up for them?
