Phosphates and Marco Rock

I bought some base Rick from Marco rocks.
I've been soaking the rock in ro/di for almost a week with water changes every couple of days and the phosphates are still pretty high.
Is there a quick way to remove the phosphates so I can get my tank started?

Lanthanum Chloride is a great choice. It is a phosphate remover. If your rock isn't in the display just add it to the RODI and let its soak, adding more until the phosphate level is where you want it. Do a search for it for some more specific directions. I used a product called seaklear phosphate remover and is sold on amazon.com

If the. Rock is in your display, you can add it to the tank but through a good filter sock. There is a precipitate left over the you don't want to get into the tank.

lantham has to be used with filtration, it just precipitates the phos out, if you dont remove it with a fine filter sock for example it can leech back into the system.
