Got a 6 pack mini frig from Amazon

1.5 liter container that fits in it

Plan to keep phyto chilled 40 degrees and pump small doses into refugium too feed bugs and then drain to frag tank.

Any thoughts? I'll put up some pictures later on this thread

Would that work as a chiller if you just pumped water through a coil of tubing inside? Sorry to hijack.

It will take that 1.5 liter of water down to 44 degrees

I bought a 3 channel dosing pump, I will use one channel for this, the other two for Calc and Alc two part

I figure once a hour I will dose a milliliter or two into Refugium

Not really, I know a guy with business and green house. He has this setup for one of his systems that has harder corals to grow. Uses dorm sized mini frig and doses 3 different foods into the system. I just downsized it.

Is there any concern about the feeders dying while in transit through the dosing pump? those peristaltic pumps keep the liquid suspended with in the tube and potentially temperature and O2 supply could be a concern. I guess fresh dead ones in the column is probably better than any sort of prepared food anyway. Just a thought.

That's a great idea I wonder if it would work with rotifiers or if they would just die off
