Im currently working with a profession graphic designer for our tshirt design.
Here are 4 prototypes that he has come up with. Please choose your favorite and we can go on from there.
This logo will also be on the new CR Tshirts as well.
Please give us your input. Thanks all.

Use the top 10 "you know you're a reefer when. . ." Some of those are hilarious.

I like the first one, but it needs a living thing. The negative space inside the CR almost has a fish shape already. Someone should make that a left facing clown or angel or something (I have no skills)

I like the second one because it has the fish and the colors.

I was thinking the same thing about the negative space in number one. It looks like an angelfish.
 
i like the first one. how about adding a clown fish to the size like how the second one.
 
IMHO, I'm not sold on any of them, sorry. If it was up to me I'd like to modify #1 so the sears tower wasn't sticking out the top of the "C". I'd make the Sears tower the beginning part of the "R". You could still run the "C" into the sears tower so the "CR" blends together, just with the sears tower in the middle. After that, I'd like to see a pic of something reef related. Maybe add either a clown or a coral pic, or both...
 
Not a fan of any of those logos. They all seem too "techy" for a reef club, more like something you'd expect from an electronic gadget or even a car club forum. Something simple, easy to read and clearly defines "chicagoreefs". The logos are really nice, they just don't yell out saltwater hobby to me. Just my .02
 
Is there a reason we don't just use the logo from the site? Or is this a replacement logo for the site as well? Seems kinda weird to have two different ones...
 
Yeah, I know what you guys mean. If was designing a logo for my business, I'd go with #3, it's really cool and I like it, just not "reefy".
