after seeing and a whole lot of reading my wife and i along with a friend have decided to take the plunge. after this tank is complete hopefully by july sometime i will most likely sell the other two large tanks i have depending on if i go reef or not. anyways i have started last night and again today any input as i go will be appreciated and welcome whats the worst that could happen lots of water all over the basement lol taking pics as i go and a record of funds just to see if its worth it if i succeed i will build another when i end up moving. heres what i have so far the back wall and one side wall half way done

Are we looking at a future pond in the basement? Are you going to use pool liner or chlorilode (sp?) ? liner?

lol my friend said to seal the bsmnt and purchase scuba gear liner think I'm gonna go with fiberglass first couple layers then the paint unsure which way yet still have a few days before I get that far and need to male decision

Check out UrauJoey on YouTube. He does a good job explaining plywood builds and sealing them with liquid rubber.

almost done with first layer of the main tank just couple more pieces to be added to the corners for additional support almost time to order the glass fro the front panel getting excited and i might add this thing is heavy flipping it around to its back was quite the experience anyways heres what we got

I had a 96''x30'' starphire glass panel a few months back,i threw it away.Coulda been great for this.

on a side note,i like that sticker ''I love texas hold'em''.

i plan on it just want to figure out the exact demensions so i can take to glass placec down the street think that is going to be the most expensive part besides return pump

just thought of it i have another problem i might have to move one or both tanks i have running just to get this where i need it to go i can move it to back wall of bsmnt but 210 has to moved which is plumbed to another room just behind it or the 140 and send the plumbing around the room and make sump further away for the new tank dummy ideas i get could stop now and give the wife the book shelf shes been asking for i have some serious thinking to do
