I stood up a 20L when I was expecting to QT some fish and added some live rock for bacteria and hiding places...
Then I picked up a pricey zoa frag that had aptasia on it and so I removed it immediately from DT, scraped off the aptasia and then put it in the QT to see if the aptasia would come back.
Then I picked up some chaeto from someone that didn't seem totally clean, so I put it in the QT...and sure enough...some good things like limpets and such were in it, but it also had some kind of flat worms.
THEN, my flame nem split in my DT and I tried to get one of them out and butchered its foot....so I put it in the QT to see if it would recover.
The nem recovered and has since split 2 more times...
The chaeto has grown wild...
The aptasia did not come back...
But the tank is full of flat worms
So, no what? How do I get the 3 expensive nems (paid $100 for the original)out without spreading the flat worms????
Thinking taking the whole tank down, as its now more of a trashcan tank than a QT. But I want to save nems.
Thoughts?
