Question about selling

If your only purpose of using this site is to sell the hundreds of frags that you have in your house then do you have to pay to use the site like the other stores on here? I'm just curious.

I feel that they should. They are looking to generate revenue by utilizing the resources that this forum provides; the local reefers.

If that's the case we shouldn't have a FS section at all, because that's all anyone is doing with that part of the forum. Just don't buy from the people you are ranting about and move along to support the members you feel deserve your money. I'm not sure I agree that someone with a nice frag setup selling from home qualifies as retail, if that was the case, a good portion of the community should be paying supporter fees...
 
Personally I think unless its a retail shop, any home fraggers or breeders are free to do as they wish. We are the ones who decide to buy from them. And there are those who are very active on here as well as sell their frags, so I don't think its a problem.
 
I think we all know the difference between a home fragger and someone that runs a business out of their home.

If you want to make it a personal vendetta against someone running a business out of their home, put up some business license information of these particular individuals you seem to have an issue with and let Mike take care of it. Like already said, there are way more people selling stuff out of their homes that are not businesses than you think. This is obviously your attempt at a witch hunt against a particular individual(s) on the site, which should be discussed directly with Mike, the owner of the site to decide what should be done. Won't do much good since he has already decided in the past that this person you have an issue with isn't doing anything wrong. Just don't buy from him and get over it is all I can really suggest.

Hmmmm such hateful words. It's nice to see that some people can say whatever they want on this while others have to walk on egg shells. Theres no personal vendetta in fact I've bought many frags from the person that i speak of. How about you take a breath and relax. Nobody's putting anyone's name out there so take it easy.
 
Not takin sides but how would you feel if they commented on threads a bit more. i mean since they obviously are doing something right it would be cool to hear from their personal experiences to help others have success. or would you sah that they still need to pay the sponser thing.
 
I honestly don't really care either way. I just put a different topic out there to see what people thought about it but people get really defensive about things.
 
Right on just asking . i also dont care but would like to see them answer a few questions here and there just me tho

Please feel free to say whatever you want. That's what this site trys to be about. Nobody should feel they need to walk on egg shells. All we ask is that folks refrain from swear words (they seem to slip thru the filter often!!) and please avoid "attacking" other members.
 
I think its a fine line, but the forum should error on the side of protecting the sponsors. I think that if someone is putting up 3-5 sales a week or something like that, they should pony up a sponsor fee, they are obviously more than just a hobbyist selling off some extra livestock after culling it back

+1 This guy is doing nothing wrong, sorry you feel my words are so hateful, but isn't that really the initial intent of this thread by the OP is to hate on someone else in the first place? You want to be the kettle or the pot? Sorry you feel offended that I'm not taking your side in your pointless tirade against a local for selling corals on the side. I'll say it again, you want to make a deal about one guy doing it, your going to have to go after everyone doing it, you just don't have that kind of time so why even bother?
