Does everyone know the real life story that "inspired" these books? A Manson-esque situation occurred where an obsessive boyfriend ended up murdering his girlfriend because he thought she was stealing their baby's "lifeforce" and cheating on him, and so he performed an ad-hoc C-section and killed the girlfriend as well as the baby.


So, thanks to this horrific story, we have the most twisted version of a love story ever to become popular.
