rc cars anyone

My dad is into those 1/25 scale ones. He has a setup on a board that's about 1.5 scale miles long. Its pretty neat, but then my mom has a tendency of going into the corners too hot, and usually sends her car almost into their fireplace. He lets her use one of the "cheaper" cars that came in one of the track packs now.
 
i bought a 1/8 scale nitro car on CL for 40 bucks. idk if it even runs. found out the chasis is a old and supposed to be rare kyosho esprit 4WD. very hard to find parts but there is one called a kyosho landmax that has a very very similar so i can use those parts. i know nothing about the hobby lol. i know the motor is also a hpi nitro star f4.1 which i know in this world is a big block. lol. well see how it goes. hey mike you know of any good rc forums?

Used to be a team driver for losi,Horizon hobbies. Had a fire @ my house 6 years ago destroyed everything i had,Never replaced any of it.
 
RC cars are the DEVIL..lol!!!!! Seriously I've spent way too many thousands in my life on **** R/C cars! If anybody is interested I have TONS of r/c cars and stuff that's not old outdated crap, it's all brand new in the past year and I'll trade any of it for the right SW Reef stuff!

I owned 2 racetracks around here for years and ran all types of cars/trucks. Was mostly 12th scale pan cars and ran alot of 4wd touring cars. Also did 1/8 scale buggy's for years but hate sweating my rump off outside racing so i mostly ran oval/road courses inside. Ran alot of nationals and was the motor tech for alot of our drivers.Won 10th scale oval nationals in the late 90's.
 
The largest distributors for RC cars are right here were i work. Horizon hobbies bought losi and owns hpi and is one of the worlds largest distributors. tower hobbies is here also. Hobbico is here.Team novaks from champaign also.

Oh heck no, I was just friends with all the guys who worked there and they ran @ my track. We all traveled together to nationals and other races so they put me on team losi. i would build the motors for all our big races. I was the boy with all the toys and had all the lathe's,dyno's know how to make motors very fast and efficient. We ran 2000 batterys back then and would dump on last lap is how close we set them up. I would build battery packs and smack them to pull the most we could from them.
 
I know this is an old thread, but I am looking to get back into rc cars after a couple year break. Anyone have a vehicle that they want to sell?
