Reef Ball time!!

I'm not at the class but I just left to get food. Not a bad show smaller than what I was expecting.

Does anyone have any pics of the ball?

I will have a lot of pics of people standing in line for their frags and reefball, unfortunately I have no photos of the "workshop" that was supposed to happen. I guess sometimes things don't happen to plan, but to complain you want your time and money back is a bit drastic. People still got 3 nice frags and the "paperweight" they paid for.

I know there was a mis count for frags to reef balls! I was handing out the reefballs and here is a pic of the two extra reef ball that the volunteers had! A lot bigger than the event reefball!

On one side Nick got thrown under the bus and had to do the presentation last minute, I kinda felt bad for him, then he talked about how he has done these presentations numerous times before. I too could read word for word what was projected on the screen. They could have said watch these videos, then handed us a printed out packet of the slide show with our frags and reefball and it would have saved us our time.

also this was not a workshop as it was billed to be, it was a "heres a bad presentation, a reefball, and some frags. Stand in line and hopefully there are some frags left for you people at the end of the line." Oh and the promised coral dip, Seachem did not bring it!

Me I had fun and so did my son I was like a kid in a candy store, a lot of nice frags, yes I spent a lot of money but found a lot of really nice frags that you dont see at any of the places around here. One from Jayson Fox.
The workshops might not have been what was expected but this was their first year here and it can only get better. I didn't win any raffle but maybe next year.

-RedDevil/Isaac, I sat next to you my name was Erik. Loved your statement as you left outside while I was smoking (Here's your reefball son of...).

-saltymike, I agree I think I might use it as a paper weight at work.

-Fishbeard, Yea they should have handed them off the frags and paper weight as they were checking off peoples names. I sat in the back last table I stood in line for about 10mins. And my friend who wasn't participate sat behind and waited. He told me that some people didn't get any frags much less the reefball. He thought people from the fragging workshop came by and went in line as well using their raffle ticket which looks the same.

I agree the presentation was eh but didn't help I could hear much due to volume a bit low and music from the raffle area.

I'll probably give'em another chance and sign up for a different workshop next year.

As for my "heres a bad presentation" comment, I was a little bitter at the time. It was what it was, I hate speaking in front of people, in the same situation, I would not have done any better. As for the workshop comment, that really was nothing but a speaker that gave away stuff. I expected to be able to actually build a reefball. Yes I have knowledge of concrete and know there is no way in hell I would get the one I just made, but I thought the one I received would have been built by another reefer at an earlier workshop. That would have made it cooler in my eyes. These were probably just mass produced, might as well sell them in stores.
