Reef Vacation Care

I'll be leaving for a week long trip to Fiji in March and I don't want my fish to starve by leaving them alone or kill them by putting my family in charge of the feeding and have them overfeed.

Is there a service in the area that handles these little tasks for vacation care?:questionmark::questionmark:

Old Town Aquarium and New Fish both do service in the city. Honestly though just get a large enough ATO reservoir for the whole week and get an eheim auto feeder and they will be good to go. A week is nothing. You can probably feed them nothing in a week and they will be fine.

Fiji!! I'm jealous. Wanted to go there for honeymoon... Wife didn't want to fly that long... And yeah I am going to invest in an auto feeder bc I'm gonna be gone for a while as well.

I just wanted to make sure. My anthias, chalk bass and yellow assessor only eat frozen so I was just worried. My tank is full of pods so I know my corals and my court jester goby will be fine, as I have seen many of them trap and eat pods. The lights are totally automatic and I can get a bigger ATO refill container so I think I will be good there as well. The only fish I have that eat prepared food are my ocellaris clownfish.

I can't wait! I've dreamed about going and someone offered to take me....so I am on my way March 20th. I'm used to long flights since I've traveled back and forth to the Philippines all my life since I was a kid. I love long flights.

I totally agree a week is not really all that long, feed well a couple of days prior and do a water change before you leave and everything should be fine. That eheim auto feeder works really well. Just make sure all of your lights are all on timers.
