Reef vase

Looking into possibly setting up a reef vase to try out only equipment would be a light, heater and aerator. Anyone here tried it? Any opinions on it?
 
I've been thinking of doing one myself lately...I've already got the vase, so that's a start.

Normally I'd agree but I'm trying to get her to like the hobby so things like not asking won't help that any lol. Besides if she ends up enjoying the hobby I'll get more in the end anyway and if not then I go awol and ask for forgiveness

I'm like "well when you are eating icecream and I thought you said it's ok ... "

Hahaha...that would be a cool lil reef tank. But you couldn't have the light over it, but pointed at it instead. And the micro bubbles from the air stone will damage the monkey.

Hollow out the monkeys head for some leds and waterproof it somehow lol
