Hello reefers I have been looking and my Refugium and there's something bothering me I don't know what it is. I maybe missing something in it or I don't like how it's set up what do use guys think ? this is my first stage View attachment 8859
Second stage View attachment 8860
Third stage View attachment 8861 pump and skimmer are this the third stage let me know if it's ok to have both together in the same stage.

the way I have my set up is
Stage 1: Water drains into sump where the skimmer is
Stage 2: Blue/white floss filter, live rock, De-Nitrate
Stage 3: Bio-pellet reactor (feeding back to stage one) and return pump.

My set up is similar to above. 1st has drains and skimmer. 2nd one has LR and chaeto. 3rd has return pump and ato. You need your skimmer to have a constant water level to work efficiently. You might want to separate skimmer and return pump.

Hi Carlos, you likely already addressed this but just a quick note to make sure those metal hose clamps are 100% reef safe as I've read that even stainless should be avoided in a reef setup. Titanium or plastic are all that I'd consider using.

Regarding the skimmer and return pump in the third stage, that's how my 90g is and I like that the dirty unskimmed water is feeding the refugium. There are A LOT of theories and opinions on this, but if you're not getting micro bubbles in the display I think you're fine.

Thanks I will look into the hose clamps the guys that did the moving for me put those on and I hope they put the right ones since it was a fish maintenance company that did my moving. And no I don't have any micro bubbles in the refugium or DT
