Removing phosphates

A friend gave me a bunch of rock from her system that she shut down over a year ago. I just picked it up yesterday. I'd like to cure it and pull all the phosphates out. I was curious if I put them in a container and run a Phos reactor if it'd speed up the process

You could look into using lanthanum chloride. I believe the product is called SeaKlear from pool supply companies. You'd have to run water through sick to catch the precipitated po4. jayjigga has used it before.
