Renting a car from Florida to Chicago???

So I ordered a tank from ReefSavvy and decided to make a vacation out of it and realized I don't really want to put the miles on my car. Instead thinking of flying down to Miami and renting a car back and site see on the way....does anyone know if its going to be ridiculously expensive to rent a car and drive all those miles? Recommend any companies?

Also if someone was interested in their tanks, I can bring along with mine if its not too big so you can save on shipping charges...

You can rent by the week, its much cheaper than per day and the miles are unlimited. You will pay a fee to drop it off at a location different than you picked it up from, usually 200.00 bucks. How big is the tank? It may be cheaper to pay the oversize charge on the flight and have it go cargo.

Tom I did that from Dallas from macna. If tank is small enough. Get a ford focus hatchback bc it will get good gas and cheapest rate. My 26x24x20 fit perfect in the back. I went through Avis. Cheapest I could find bc of the drop fee.

Oooo what size tank did you order? I just got a quote from them for a 30x20x16 with a centered external over flow to replace my aio, not sure if I really want to pull the trigger on it yet.
