hey guys looking for a few opinions, i got bulkreefsupplys 75gpd 5 stage rodi kit bout 3 months ago made maybe 100-150 gals of water with it and now its starting to read 2 on the tds meter, just thought the filters should have lasted a lil longer, i know my towns got pretty crappy water, has anybody else had similar problems thanks in advance..

I have made around that much water too and the exact same rodi unit. Still reading 0 on the tds meter. My membrane on the di unit is only about a quarter way brown though. Its yours more?

What's the TDS of your water before going into your RODI? If it's really high then you would expect that your filters will not last long.

Do you have a dual TDS meter? Are you sure that is product water after DI and not before DI? There's a little slide switch to go from IN to OUT. I have the same unit my TDS is 2 before the DI.

I live on a well and only wish I could get 150-200 gallons out of a di refill

I run 2 sediment filters 2 carbon filters 2 75gpd membranes and full size di refiliable filter
7 stages

i do have the dual tds meter, the water coming in is between 9 and 15 on the meter, and my di resin has gotten darker guess its time to order filters, was hoping that wasn't the case. thanks for everyones input:thumb:

Why not add 3 more membranes and just throw 2 sediments and one carbon fiiter. thats what I did and it makes a HUGE difference on the Puratek filetrs and DI resin, I think I get 500 gallons out of one Di change.

replace the DI, nothing wrong with the other filters, whats your tap water tds? whats your water pressure? both of these are going to affect the membrane and then the di resin cleans up whats left, higher tds coming out of the membrane means the di doesnt last as long. I typically get a year out of my filters but then again my tds is 0.4 coming out of my membrane

2 tds isn't much to worry about....
See if there is any air trapped in it. That happens all the time here at the shop.
once I bleed the air out it starts to read correctly.
Also if your on well water I would flush the ro often... that's the one that gets expensive to change.
DI refills aren't to bad tho... we sell them for $14. I go thru 1 a week... but I make a lot of water !
