RODI filters

I just got my 5 stage RODI unit about 2-3 weeks ago from BRS and since then, I have made I think 100-120 gallons of water at max, probably a little less. The filter/membrane of the 5th stage is already a quarter way brown. Not sure if this is normal for the amount of water I made or if its something else. What do you guys think? The psi is about 62 when its running.

Just for clarification, the DI is the 5th stage of the unit?

I just know the TDS going into the 5th stage from the rest of the unit starts out at around 100-150 but after a couple of minutes it drops down to 15-10. Its 0 coming out going into the bucket.
 
DI should be the last stage. From BRS it's the little blue pellets that turn brown. I had an issue for a while with it turning brown really fast... Contacted BRS and found out that I probably wasn't packing it down enough, and I may or may not have had the DI before the RO (can't remember). Regardless, DI is LAST, and pack the crap out of it.
 
I used the end of a pill bottle that fit perfectly and packed the crap out of mine. Nothing moves or floats.
 
Actually, looking back at the water you've made, it doesn't seem that bad... If you continue on the same path, you will make probably 5-700 gallons before needing to change the DI. Not too shabby IMO. Do you have the single, or double DI?

Did you do this after ordering or when you were replacing the filters? You think I should open it up and repack it? I don't have the DI resin refill so even if I did repack it, would make it a difference since I can't add more?
 
I think you're doing fine. It all depends on the incoming water too. The more filtering needed, the faster you will go through them. If you want to go longer between changes, add another DI. BRS has add ons for that. Packing it without additional resin will do no good btw.
 
Wasreplacing my resin. I have the 2 stage resin containers and after about 150-200gs I'm already reading 002. I never replaced me membrane though so that could be it. I

If you have 146 before DI, and it doesn't drop after a little bit, I'd say time for a new membrane. I am by no means an expert, so take anything I say with a grain of salt. Heck, you two live close enough, you could split a BRS order.
 
lol I probably won't be ordering anyways for awhile. My membranes still have life on them :) Might do an order soon from dfs for more salt so I will probably add the membranes and resin from them to get free shipping.
