I know one or two people here are big runners. I want to start running and ive never ever gotten running shoes. What's a good running shoe for like under $90 bucks. My dad has some called the Nike free run 2 but just uses them as daily shoes and says they are super comfy. Any advice on some others. Thanks in advance.

You can try a DSW or Rogan's shoes. You can likely find Asics running shoes for under $100 at those shoe warehouses. You don't necessarily need the latest and greatest current model year shoes if you are on a budget. Last years model will still do just fine and keep your dogs happy. I know a many joggers and runners that swear by Asics.

Try Puma... You will like them!! Feel like a feather and still run with style.... Unless you like the highlights like neon green :D

find a good shoe that fits your feet
I wear a 14 B
Adidas fit me best, Nike next, Reeboks are too wide, Pumas the arch is in the wrong place

Make a day of it and go to Fleet Feet Sports at North and Wells on the north side. They will test your feet and analyze your gait and offer several different brands to balance your feet while you run. Most people lean one way or the other. These people observe how you lean and the shoes they suggest are designed for the gait. Well worth it. Prices are just like every other store but you are not buying generic padded shoes.

That place sounds cool but do thy charge for all the testing stuff?

I used to go to Running for Kicks in Palos at 127th and Harlem. They will test your running stride and figure if you pronate or not. This is important. Shoes that don't fit right or are not designed for your stride will cause problems. I was a brooks, New Balance or Mizuma guy. Let them suggest a shoe and try on a size. Take it outside and run down the sidewalk for a few strides then buy. Or find out shoe model and buy online. there is not many actual runners sporting Nike or Pumas as training shoes. They don't last!
