Im redoing my small 12 gallon nano it was invaded by green hair algae to the point where it was uncontrollable. I I emptied it dipped my rocks in peroxide power washed them clean up the tank and ready to restart. I know in a small tank you don't use a lot of sand. I was looking to do a thin layer this time. I want some super stupidly white sand or something pinkish like 3-5lbs only or less what do you guys recommend????

You can get a small bag of "live" sand at PETCO or pet smart for like 9 bucks. It's nice because it comes with a little bag of clarifier. It's called caribe-something. I've had good luck with it.
