Have only bought a leather since the alk troubles so shopped a live auction today and picked up:
everlasting gobstoppers 3 poylps $16 (good price?)
2 unnamed acans looked like 1 big head and multiple babies on each $20 and $5 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
rastas 3 polyps 1 big 1 medium and 1 small $10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Never had acans any advice? Will post some pics after I get them and they settle in
 
Generally I think acans prefer dimmer areas, but I'm far from an expert (or even mildly experienced for that matter) on them, so others should chime in! Good buys, though, lets see some pictures when you get setup :)
 
Acans are definitely low light and low flow. Find a shaded area for yours. I did some homework before getting some and found the best spot is an are like under a ledge or something for your scape. I have sort of a cave on my scape so i put the acans towards the entrance. Just enough light and flow. They love it.

I have 150 metal halides so I am going to try and acclimate them slowly. They did better than I thought they would under the halides to be honest. I thought I would have to find a deep area for them but they are fine in the little shaded spot I have them in.

This si what I love about this hobby. Everything is possible.
 
Crap seller forgot to put a "hold at facility" order until it was already out for delivery!!!!! Got to wait til 5:30 or 6 til truck gets back, thankfully is not a sunny day heating up the truck.
 
So far so good. The acans look great still waiting for the rastas and gobstoppers to open. This is my first online order didn't know what to expect but he did an awesome job packing. corals each had a double bag and were in a small cup then a small Styrofoam "cooler" inside the box. I'll try to get some pics in the morning.

I guess I phrased it wrong it was from a live sale on reef2reef. The website is called the blue glow, he doesn't seem to have to much at the moment
