Hello! im new here, started my 1st tank 6 yrs ago, got rid of it 2 yrs ago, trying to get back in the game, and I was looking at the seaclear 46g bowfront.

has anyone had any experience with them? i love the seamless edges.

also the top is not fully open. there is 2 small openings for rock and fish.

And I would have to hang my lighting from the ceiling I assume?

They are acrylic, so they can be drill for a reef tank right?

thoughts?

Acrylic is really light and the tanks can be drilled. The one you're looking at looks very nice; some used tanks can be hazy. You could hang lights or use the fixtures with legs; if they're LED or T5/T8. MH lights would probably have to be hung.

what's amazing about acrylic, is you can buff it! no scratch really is too deep, make sure you take your time and compound the holy hell out of the inside, and you will have crystal clear viewing. you can drill to your hearts content too, just don't go too nuts and kill structural integrity

go look for one that attaches to a screw gun. I know some dudes here have buffed their tanks and can chime in though.
