Hey everyone. I know that I have spoke to some of you with questions about my PAR38 lamps, or some of you who have bought them, regarding how to get these over your tanks. The most common solution I usually recommend, is hanging fixtures, which work great, but aren't always the cleanest looking installation method. So I present to you a sneak peak at my custom made lamp clamp fixtures, which will be available in a few weeks on coralcompulsion.com!
The base is made of a single piece of black acrylic, with three nylon thumb screws that will fit multiple size tank rims, up to 1" wide (bases for larger rims will be coming in the future). The neck of the fixture is completely flexible, coated with vinyl for corrosion protection, and will hold up to 3lbs (my bulbs only weigh 1.5lbs) allowing you to position the lamps however you would like. The socket is a standard e26/e27 screw in type socket that is compatible with any standard light bulb.
These fixtures will be priced at $39.99 each (without the lamp), however I will be running some combo specials if you buy both a fixture and a bulb at the same time. I will also be offering a discount to any Chicago Reef members who already purchased bulbs from me. I will be sure to let everyone know when they are officially available. Hope you like them!
