Snot in my tank

Anyone ever have a snot like substance in their tank before or know what this may be and how to get rid of it. Thank,

I made some Xenia angry once (nearly full strength peroxide dip) it snotted my whole system like crazy. I siphoned what I could into a filter sock in my sump with carbon in it. That seemed to work.

This seems to be slightly different. It is slimy and attached to my rocks and back wall
It is tan in color. I can't find anything on this but it does not appear to be algae but has a fuzzy slimy quality. Weird

It is thicker than the slime u are taking about as we'll. it's like mucus

I do have some of those in the tank but it is thicker than the web they leave

It sounds like high nutrient build up or the mucus from the chemical warfare. Water changes, while siphoning it out and running carbon should help.

Try running GFO aggressively and lights out for 3 days.
